Int. Limbo City Library- Night
Shadow is browsing through the bookshelves looking at the ancient books. As he is looking he hears a sigh and looks over his shoulder to see Raven sitting at a long table with a book in front of her. Shadow can see that Raven is reading the ancient text. He walks over to her, and sits in a chair across from her.
Raven looks up from her book at Shadow when she hears him clear his throat to catch her attention. Shadow sees Raven look up from the book at him as he then asks his question to her.
Shadow (Asking Raven)
Raven what did you find out?
Raven just sighs as Shadow asks her this question. She then puts a book mark in the book as she closes it, and gathers her thoughts. Then Raven answers Shadow's question as she looks at him.
Raven (Answering Shadow)
Yer not going te believe me when Aye tell ye this Shadow.
Shadow only raises his eyebrow at Raven as she then sighs, and pushes the book that she was reading at him. Shadow catches the book and looks at the page where she had put the book mark at. Raven watches Shadow look at the page then he looks at her, and raises his eyebrow at her once again. Raven then sighs and she starts to explain to him.
Raven (Explaining to Shadow)
Two thousand years ago me father Dante Sparda had awoken te justice te protect the humans from his own demon kin.
Raven then pauses for a second to see Shadow still reading the book but she can also see that Shadow is flicking his ear at her to show her that he's listening to her. Raven then gives a smirk as she sees Shadow's ear flick at her. She then becomes serious as she continues.
Raven (Cont'd)
Me father then confronted the lord of the demons Black Doom. That fuckin' bastard whose yer father, and who ruled over all the demons in the demon kingdom and all of the dark powers as well.
Raven then stops for a second as Shadow looks up at her from the book that he's reading. She can see the glare that he's giving her as she mentions his father to him. Raven just sighs as she then closes her eyes, and pinches the bridge of her nose as she takes a deep breath in through her nose, and slowly exhales through her mouth as she then continues.
Raven (Cont'd)
Sorry Shadow. Aye know ye hate your father but please hear me out.
Raven then sees Shadow narrows his eyes at her but he nods his head to her. Raven sees Shadow nod his head to her as he looks back to the book. Raven then sees Shadow's ear flicker at her, and she then continues.
Raven (Cont'd)
Me father in all his rage had tore Black Doom asunder. Then fearing his own awesome power me father had sealed not only his power and the demons but also his own sword as well.
Shadow then looks at Raven as he pushes away the book, and gathers his thoughts. Shadow takes a deep breath through his nose, and out slowly through his mouth as he then asks her a question.
Shadow (Asking Raven)
So does this mean we're supposed to be enemies Raven? Is that what you’re trying to say?
Raven looks at Shadow then she face palms herself. She then sighs to herself as she shakes her head at Shadow. Raven then gathers her thoughts, and she answers him.
Raven (Answering Shadow)
Nay Shadow. Tis not what Aye'm saying at all. Aye'm just giving ye a little of me family history that written in that book.
Shadow then glares at Raven as she just shakes her head at him. She sighs to herself as she then thinks to herself in Scottish.
Raven (Thinking to herself)
Why does me heart beat fast whenever Aye look inte Shadow's strangely hypnotic red eyes? Whoa...wait did Aye just think that about Shadow?
Raven then shakes her head to clear her thoughts as Shadow watches her he raises an eyebrow at her as he then asks her a question.
Shadow (Asking Raven)
Something on your mind Raven?
Raven looks at Shadow, and she swallows in a nervous way she then takes a deep calming breath through her mouth and slowly releases it through her nose as she then answers Shadow's question.
Raven (Answering Shadow)
Nay Shadow...Aye just need te...
Raven and Shadow then hear a ring come from Raven's pocket. Raven sighs and reaches a fingerless glove hand into her trenchcoat pocket pulling out her cell, and flipping it open she then answers it.
Raven (Answering)
Password?
Raven listens for a second as the person on the other side as the person gives the password, and she then speaks.
Raven (Speaking)
Raven speaking.
Shadow looks at Raven as she's on the phone, and he feels his heart beating quickly as he then notices just how beautiful she is. Shadow then shakes his head as he thinks to himself in Japanese.
Shadow (Thinking)
Nani sono jigoku? Doshite wo karera kangaes daitai Karasu no naka de watakushi no chisei?
Shadow is then pulled out of his thoughts as he hears Raven close her phone with a sigh, and he asks her a question in English.
Shadow (Asking Raven)
What's wrong Raven?
Raven looks at Shadow, and sighs again as she answers his question.
Raven (Answering Shadow)
It seems that yer little girlfriend Amy McLeod never made it home last night.
Shadow then glares at Raven as he then replies to her.
Shadow (Replying to Raven)
First of all Raven you should know that Amy isn't my type. So she has no chance in hell to be with me. And second how do you know that Amy never made it home last night?
Raven slips her phone back into her trenchcoat pocket. She then looks at Shadow, and answers him quickly.
Raven (Answering Shadow)
Sigh...because Shadow Tifa had just called me. And she told me that Amy never made it back home last night. Nay only that but this had happened before with me brother being the kidnapper.
Raven then raises a fingerless gloved hand to stop Shadow from asking her a question as she then continues.
Raven (Cont'd)
Aye also know that we don't have time fer 20 questions. We have te go now.
Shadow nods his head to Raven as he stands up from his chair. Raven sees Shadow standing after nodding his head, and she then follows and starts to stand herself. As she stands she feels dizzy, and she starts to fall to the ground. Shadow sees Raven start to fall and he very quickly catches her before she could hit the ground. Shadow then looks into Raven's crystal blue eyes, and asks her a question.
Shadow (Asking Raven)
Raven are you alright?
Raven lightly blushes as she looks into Shadow's red eyes, and she then quickly looks away as she then answers him.
Raven (Answering Shadow)
Aye Shadow. Aye'm fine. Aye just stood up te fast that's all. We should get going.
Shadow looks at Raven as he carefully lets her go, and sees that she turned her back to him. Shadow sighs as he then walks out of the library to wait for Raven outside. Raven then turns around when she hears the door close and sees that Shadow is gone. Raven then sighs as she then lets her form change.
Raven is wearing a black leather jacket that's over a dark blue hoodie, Dark blue jeans, with a black belt, and black leather steel toed boots. On her hands are black leather fingerless gloves. Raven's eyes have also changed from crystal blue to red. Raven then places a fingerless gloved hand on her stomach where there is a slight bump. Raven then sighs as she then remembers how she escaped from the lab.
(Flash Back)
Raven is in a tank in an underground lab being experimented on. Raven sees Alex Mercer coming towards her with a needle in his hand. Raven growls in warning at him as she then slams her fists against the glass. She can see Alex look at her with a sickening smirk on his face as he approaches her tank, and inserts the needle into an IV that is connected in the tank.
Raven then glares at Alex as he gives her another smirk. She then snarls, and slams her fists against the tank as Raven sees Alex turn his back to her, and walk away. Later that night as Raven was sleeping in the tank she was then awakened by alarms as she then both Zack, and Cloud come towards her tank. She can see Zack quickly type at the controls then she feels the liquid being drained. As Raven's feet touch the ground the glass lowers, and she falls forward only to be caught by Cloud. Cloud quickly swings Raven's arm over his shoulder, and leads her out of the lab with Zack helping.
(End Flash Back)
Raven then sighs as she shakes her head from the memory, and pushes it to the back of her mind. Raven was never the same after being experimented on at the lab. Raven then feels a kick at her hand, and she sadly smiles. Raven found out that Alex had injected her with Shadow's blood, and she's carrying his child. Raven just shakes her head as she then focuses and switches back to how she used to be. Raven then walks out of the library to join Shadow.
(Fade To Black)
