Back To Limbo City Streets
Raven looks around at the
ruined buildings around her as she walks down the street scratching at her
right arm in a distracted way as she continues to walk, and think to herself
out loud in Japanese.
Raven (Thinking out
loud in Japanese)
Ima sono toki...shita
de e bijinesu.
Back Inside Edge Bar
Tifa is leaning back against the
bar as she's sitting on the stool, and she is speaking to Cid who is listening
to her problem while nodding his head to Tifa to show that he was listening.
Tifa (Speaking
to Cid)
I'm a dead woman! Maybe I
should get out of town!
Cid lights up a cigarette, and
takes a few puffs of the cig. As he then blows out the smoke he then asks Tifa
a question.
Cid (Asking Tifa)
Why are you worried? She's the one who flaked out on the client.
Tifa just looks at Cid for a
second then she shakes her head as she then yells at him.
Tifa (Yelling at Cid)
IT DOESN'T MATTER! HE'LL HOLD ME RESPONSIBLE!
Tifa then puts her crossed arms
on the bar with her head on them, and she then asks Cid a question with her
voice muffled by her arms.
Tifa (Asking Cid)
She seemed sincere, right? She'll come back...
Cid
just takes a couple more puffs on his cigarette as he thinks over Tifa's
question about Raven for a few moments, and then he answers her.
Cid (Answering Tifa)
Don't ask me. With that face of hers, I can't tell if she's angry or
laughing.
By the pool table that the two
military men are at the dark haired military man looks at his blonde haired
friend sitting on the floor in the corner. The dark haired military man walks
over to his friend, and crouches down. He then asks his friend a question.
Military Man (Asking Cloud)
Cloud you okay?
Cloud
looks up at his friend Zack as he shakes his head slowly as he then answers his
question.
Cloud (Answering Zack)
No Zack I'm not okay. I think I drank one too many beers again.
Zack nods his head to Cloud then he stands up, and turns to see the two
people talking as he then walks towards the bar.
Tifa (Speaking to Cid)
If she doesn't come back. I'm so screwed! Vincent isn't the kind who takes
kindly to having a contract broken...
Cid nods his head at Tifa to
show her that he is listening as he continues to smoke his cigarette. He then
asks her a question.
Cid (Asking Tifa)
So who is it, kid? Shinra?
Tifa then lifts her head up from her arms,
and looks at Cid as she then answers him.
Tifa (Answering Cid)
Nobody as forgiving as
that...
Zack then reaches the bar where Cid
and Tifa are talking. Then he stops, and politely but loudly clears his throat
to get their attention. Cid and Tifa stop their conversation, and look at Zack.
Tifa can see that he is wearing a military uniform, and it makes her raise her
eyebrow in question. Zack can see that he has their attention, and he then
politely begins to speak.
Zack (Speaking
politely)
Pardon me...I don't mean to interrupt...but my friend is pretty drunk.
Shit-faced actually. Mind if I let him sleep it off?
Cid nods his head to Zack after
he takes a puff from his cigarette, and he then answers him.
Cid (Answering Zack)
Long as we're open, it's
no problem.
Zack
nods his head to Cid as he politely asks him a question.
Zack (Asking Cid)
How long is that sir?
Cid takes another puff on his
cigarette for a moment then he answers Zack's question.
Cid (Answering Zack)
Til dawn. I got a blanket you
can cover him with.
Zack then nods his head politely to Cid as he
watches him go to the back of the bar to get the blanket. Zack then looks at
Tifa as he can see that she is staring down into her drink. Zack was about to
ask her if she knew someone by the name of Raven Sparda but before he could ask
her Cid came back with the blanket that he then holds out to Zack. Zack sees
the blanket that Cid offering to him, and nods his head politely as he then
takes the blanket while politely thanking Cid.
Zack (Politely thanking
Cid)
Thank you sir.
Cid just nods his head at Zack.
Zack then turns, and walks back to where his friend Cloud is still sitting on
the floor in the corner of the bar. Zack can see that Cloud is looking up at
him as he brings him the blanket. Zack then crouches down next to him, and he
then wraps the blanket around Cloud. Cloud then smiles at Zack as he thanks
him.
Cloud (Thanking Zack)
Thanks
Zack.
Zack just returns Cloud's smile
as he sees him fall asleep. Zack then hears Cid, and Tifa talking at the bar.
Tifa (Talking to Cid)
I wonder why there are military men here Cid.
Cid rubs his chin as he hears Tifa
say this. Cid has a thoughtful look on his face as he remembers Raven's unease
with the military men here, and how she had grabbed him when that guy with the
grey hoodie, and black leather jacket was asking about her name. Cid thought
about how he could feel fear going through her. Cid then snaps out of his
thoughts as he realized that Tifa was waiting for him to respond to her. Cid
then replies to Tifa in a gruff tone that makes her raises her eyebrow.
Cid (Replying
gruffly to Tifa)
Don't know, and I don't care to know Tifa. I just don't want any trouble
here so just ignore them.
Tifa just nods her head, and she sighs as she
then starts to speak to Cid again.
Tifa (Speaking to Cid)
Back to my problems, then. I've been doing Raven favors ever since she came
to this town! The least she could do is help out a friend once in a while!
Suddenly the window's steel blind
is pulled open behind Tifa, and she hears Raven's voice calling out to her.
Raven (Calling out to
Tifa)
Tifa! Get off your lazy ass and go clean up the office. I'm counting on
you!
Raven then lets the steel blind
slide shut close with a bang back down, and Tifa slumps to the counter with her
head in her hands. As Raven then walks away she doesn't noticed the man from earlier
watching her go by on a rooftop. He nods his head as he watches her walk away
down the street, and he silently glides after her. Back in the bar Cid nods his
head at Tifa as he then speaks to her.
Cid (Speaking to Tifa)
Better do what she says if you want her help!
Tifa only speaks one word
to Cid.
Tifa (Speaking to Cid)
Dammit!
